The presence of an inviting company in the UAE is a prerequisite: it confirms the purpose of the driver's visit and provides documents on business relations. Issued for a period of 30, 60 or 90 days; multiply entry.

Validity period

Usually valid to enter UAE for 60 days from the date of issue. However the exact period within which applicant must enter the UAE after the visa is issued can vary, so it's recommended to verify this information with the sponsor or official UAE immigration authorities.

The employer-company or the driver apply for a visit visa valid for 30, 60 or 90 days, depending on the required length of stay in the UAE. However, the immigration authorities' decision on length of stay may vary, depending on documentary evidence provided and other factors.

The extension of the maximum duration of stay in the country initially permitted by the visa, subject to approval by the immigration authorities. This is typically processed within the country without the need for departure.

Consular fee
A fee levied for the processing and evaluation of an application. This charge is non-refundable under any circumstances. In certain instances, the payment of supplementary fees may be required.
The fee is paid up front via the online portal or at an AMER center when submitting the visa application. Payment is in AED and made before approval of the visa. Additional fees: A refundable security deposit of AED 2,000 is required. The sponsor or company pays this deposit to UAE immigration as a guarantee (refundable when the visa is canceled or expires properly). There are small fees for managing the deposit (AED 20 processing + AED 40 refund fee). If the driver is already in the UAE - change of visa status within the country costs AED520.
