Long-term visa (1 year) — what you need to know
For individuals aged 50 and over who wish to stay in Thailand for up to one year without working. Requires proof of age, a clean criminal record and a medical certificate. Proof of financial means: 800,000 THB deposit or 65,000 THB income/month. Allows a stay of up to 1 year, extendable. Almost all Thai embassies around the world stopped accepting paper applications and switched to online visa processing.
