For foreign nationals married to an ROC (Taiwan) citizen who has household registration in Taiwan. Holders may apply for a Resident Visa at BOCA within Taiwan, 8 working days before their current stay expires, without leaving the country. Those who entered Taiwan without a visa, on a landing visa, or as blue-collar workers may not apply. After receiving ARC, the holder may eventually apply for Permanent Resident Certificate (APRC) after 5 years of continuous legal residence.
