Visa overview
Allows nationals of specific countries and holders of diplomatic, service, or official passports (of certain countries) to enter Sweden without a visa for tourism, family visits, business, or official purposes for up to 90 days within an 180-day period. Employment during the visit is not permitted. Citizens of Nordic countries are free to enter, live, study and work in Sweden without any special permit.

Strong ties to the country of origin and compelling reasons to return there, ensuring compliance with the terms and duration of stay.
Valid permanent resident status or proof thereof; all preliminary procedures for visa application have been completed.
