Exchange program visa — what you need to know
Issued to foreign nationals for the purpose of participating in international student exchanges at registered providers of publicly valid education and training programs, or at accredited higher education institutions in the Republic of Slovenia. Upon arrival in Slovenia, foreign nationals may apply for a temporary residence permit for study purposes before the expiry of their permitted period of stay in the Republic of Slovenia. The permit is issued for the duration of the studies, participation in an international exchange, or training programme, but for a period not exceeding 1 year.

*Foreign official documents must be apostilled and legalized in accordance with the regulations of the country whose consular or diplomatic mission they are being submitted to. Additionally, they must be accompanied by a certified translation into the official language of that country or into English, unless otherwise specified by the mission's requirements.
