Visa overview
To work in Singapore, professionals need a valid work pass from the Ministry of Manpower (MOM). The type of pass depends on the applicant’s qualifications and job. Applications are usually employer-sponsored, and applicants don’t need to be in Singapore to apply. Citizens of visa-exempt countries can enter Singapore with an In-Principle Approval (IPA) letter, while those who require a visa can use the IPA to apply for their entry visa before traveling. All travelers are required to have a pre-arranged SG Arrival Card.
