After submission, a QR code (entry authorization) is issued, which must be presented at the border. N.B.: Rules for digital registration are voluntary for tourist visitors. Extension of stay
The extension of the maximum duration of stay in the country initially permitted by the visa, subject to approval by the immigration authorities. This is typically processed within the country without the need for departure.
Extension beyond the 30 days without exit is not provided for Mongolian citizens. At the end of the permitted 30 days, it is necessary to leave Russia (for example, to the home country or to a third country) and, if necessary, re-enter, observing the limit of 90 days/180 days. It is not possible to extend the stay without leaving - exceeding the time limit is punishable by a fine and an entry ban. In order to stay longer legally, a Mongolian citizen needs to obtain an appropriate visa or other migration status.
