Разрешение на временное проживание в России для иностранных граждан — what you need to know
Разрешение на временное проживание (РВП) позволяет иностранцу временно жить в России до 3 лет, а потом, если есть основание, получить временный вид на жительство (ВНЖ). Обычно РВП ставится штампом в паспорт. Получить обычный РВП можно только по квоте или без квоты, если есть льготное основание: брак с гражданином РФ, участие в программе переселения, военная служба, гражданство Казахстана, Молдовы или Украины и другие случаи по 115-ФЗ.
