Digital Nomad visa — what you need to know
Designed for foreign nationals who work electronically for their own company (not registered in Montenegro) or as an employee of a foreign company. Upon arrival in Montenegro, the applicant must apply to the Ministry of Internal Affairs at their place of residence for a temporary residence permit for digital nomads. The residence permit is granted for a period of up to 2 years.
Work for a foreign company or in your own company that is not registered in Montenegro.
Procedure: D visa → entry → temporary residence permit application.
The residence permit is issued for up to 2 years and can be extended for another 2 years.
Monthly income of at least €1,350 (equivalent to three minimum wages in Montenegro).
Family members can relocate with the main applicant
The family gets the right to work in Spain
Travel is permitted throughout the Schengen Area
Nationals of visa‑exempt countries may enter visa‑free and apply locally while lawfully present in the country.
