Visa overview
Description of the visa, its purpose, conditions, peculiarities of issuance, and guidelines for utilization.
Issued to public school students aged 3–18 years for the purpose of study in Malaysia. The permit is usually issued for 1 year and requires an annual extension during the course.
The primary characteristics that define the conditions for obtaining and using a visa. These conditions may vary depending on the individual circumstances of the applicant and the decision of the immigration authorities of the country.

Validity period
The period during which the visa remains valid and can be used for entry into the country. The validity period or expiration date is indicated directly on the visa itself.
The decision on the issuance and validity of the visa is made by the Malaysian consulate or embassy and is not directly dependent on the applicant. The validity period of this visa is the period of time within which it is necessary to enter the country. As a rule, this visa is issued for a period of up to 3 months, which is calculated from the date of issuance of the visa. Within three days before entering Malaysia, all foreign nationals, except permanent residents and certain other categories of persons, are required to complete a Digital Arrival Card (MDAC). Once the MDAC is filled out, a confirmation email is sent to the applicant, which they need to show to the officer at passport control.

Length of stay
The maximum duration for which one is permitted to stay in the country continuously from the date of entry.
Upon entry, the immigration officer places a mastic stamp in the passport of foreign nationals. This stamp is called a Visit Pass and indicates the date of entry as well as the maximum authorized period of stay in the country. Once the applicant enters the country on this visa, they must complete the Student pass process within 30 days: registering at the university, undergoing the mandatory medical examination and handing over the passport to the university visa office. The maximum period of validity of Student Pass in Malaysia corresponds to the period of study at the chosen institution. However, most often the Student Pass is issued for 1 year and can be extended as needed if the study continues.

Extension of stay
The extension of the maximum duration of stay in the country initially permitted by the visa, subject to approval by the immigration authorities. This is typically processed within the country without the need for departure.
In most cases there is no provision for visa extension, however, it is possible to apply for a Student pass extension at the Immigration Department a few months before the current SP expires. The maximum period of validity of Student pass in Malaysia corresponds to the period of study in the chosen educational institution. However, most often the Student pass is issued for 1 year and can be renewed as and when required if the study continues. Renewal must be done at least one and a half months before the expiration date of the current pass. Thus, the validity period of the Student pass is not limited to a fixed maximum period, but depends on the duration of studies.
single-entry
The possibility of entering the country only once during the visa's validity period. After departure from the country with such a visa, re-entry is not possible, even if the visa's validity period has not yet expired.
Number of entries
A parameter specifying the number of times the visa holder can enter the country during its validity period. Visas can be single-entry, multiple-entry, or with a specified number of entries.
This visa is a single entry visa. If the holder leaves the country before completing the long-term permit, they will need to obtain a new visa for re-entry.

Processing time
The period during which the immigration authorities review the application and make a decision regarding the issuance of the visa. Only business days are counted, excluding weekends and public holidays.

Additionally, they must be accompanied by a certified translation into the official language of that country or into English, unless otherwise specified by the mission's requirements.
