Atypical Working Scheme — what you need to know
Issued in limited cases for work in Ireland longer than 90 days under the Atypical Working Scheme, including locum doctors, nurses seeking NMBI registration based on overseas qualifications, and certain mandatory paid internships. Applicants must first obtain Atypical Working Scheme (AWS) approval before applying for a long-stay visa and immigration permission after arrival.
