Visa for employment for the purpose of investment — what you need to know
Issued to third-country nationals whose employment is realized as part of an investment-project.
Relocation with family and family reunification are not allowed
Does not lead to obtaining a National Residence Card (permanent residence)
Employment is allowed under an approved investment project
The residence permit is issued for up to 3 years for the preparatory stage of investment, and for up to 1 year for the launch stage
Extension is possible until the completion of the investment project and within 3 years from the date of the first issuance of the residence permit
Procedure: conclusion of an investment agreement → obtaining by the employer of approval to hire foreign workers → conclusion of a preliminary agreement / employment contract → submission of a residence permit application → approval of the residence permit → obtaining a D visa → entry into Hungary → receipt of the residence permit card by mail or through the employer
