Visa for National Card — what you need to know
Granted to foreigners from specific countries to work for or under the direction and supervision of others, under an employment relationship, including employment through temporary work agency. Also applies to owners and executives of companies, or other legal entities, established for the purpose of gainful activity in addition to the activities within this position.
The National Card is tied to a specific employer
The National Card is issued for 2 years and can be extended for a period of up to 3 years
Procedure: verification of citizenship against the National Card list → conclusion of a preliminary agreement or employment contract → application for the National Card → approval of the residence permit → obtaining a D visa → entry into Hungary → receipt of the National Card by mail or through the employer
Relocation with family, and family members are allowed to work
