Intra-corporate transfer visa — what you need to know
Granted to foreigners transferred from a parent company in a third country to a subsidiary in an EU Member State. Eligible applicants include chief executives, experts, or trainees with tertiary education, sufficient experience, and a legal employment relationship, provided their transfer and employment are supported.
The procedure is started by the employer
Maximum transfer period: 3 years for managers/specialists, 1 year for trainees
The applicant must have qualifications and professional experience relevant to the specific job
A minimum of 3 months of continuous work in the company/group is required immediately prior to the transfer
Procedure: transfer decision to Hungary → submission of the ICT permit application → approval → obtaining a D visa → entry into Hungary → receipt of the card by mail
Relocation with family, and family members are allowed to work
No separate work permit is required
Managers and specialists may apply for the National Residence Card after 3 years of residence
