Intended for foreigners whose activities contribute to enhancing Colombia's competitiveness through innovation, research, and technological development. A key feature is that it allows time to be accumulated toward obtaining permanent residency (Resident Visa). Depending on the applicant's qualifications, it combines characteristics of both a visitor visa (Type V) and a migrant visa (Type M). The following family members may join the principal visa holder: spouse, children, and disabled children without age restrictions.
