Resident visas to Colombia for Kyrgyz citizens

Grants a foreign national the right to permanent residence in Colombia. The visa itself is indefinite (indefinida). However, the document confirming this status (the visa sticker in the passport or the electronic visa) must be renewed (the traspaso procedure) every 5 years. The holder of an R visa may legally work as an employee, run a business, or engage in any other lawful activity without additional permits. This status is a direct step toward obtaining Colombian citizenship. The principal visa holder may obtain an R visa for their family members (spouse, dependent children up to 25 years of age, and disabled children without age restrictions).
