Visa overview
The applicant can request an S1 visa if she/he intends to visit China for private visits such as marriage, heritage, and adoption or other private affairs. The S1 visa is usually used by foreigners who wish to stay more than 180 days. It is issued one single entry visa, and the applicant must apply for a residence permit within 30 days of entering the country.
