Family members of foreigners who reside in China for work or study purposes can apply for an S1 visa. The relatives include spouses, parents, children, siblings, grandparents, grandchildren, spouses of sons or daughters, and parents-in-law. It is issued one single entry visa, and the applicant must apply for a residence permit within 30 days of entering the country.
