A China S visa, also known as a private visa, is issued to family members of foreigners working or studying in China, and also to those who intend to go to China for private purposes. Depending on the duration of stay, the S visa is classified into S1 and S2 visas. Foreign travelers can submit their entry information online before entering China using various official platforms, including the National Immigration Administration (NIA) website via PC or smartphone, the “NIA 12367” mobile app, or the WeChat (Alipay) mini program.
