Special economic zone visas — what you need to know
Port visa authorities in Shenzhen, Zhuhai, and Xiamen may issue special economic zone tourist visas with a duration of stay for three or five days for sightseeing and tourism purposes. Foreigners holding a special economic zone tourist visa shall not stay beyond the city's administrative area where the entry port is located. Foreign travelers can submit their entry information online before entering China using various official platforms, including the National Immigration Administration (NIA) website via PC or smartphone, the “NIA 12367” mobile app, or the WeChat (Alipay) mini program.
