High-skilled & researcher visa — what you need to know
Certain categories of highly skilled professionals and researchers may work in Canada without obtaining a work permit for a limited period. These categories include short-term researchers working at public educational or research institutions for up to 120 consecutive days, as well as high-skilled workers in NOC skill levels 0 or A who may perform short-term assignments of up to 15 consecutive days every six months or up to 30 days per year.
