Visa validity period
The period during which the visa remains valid and can be used for entry into the country. The validity period or expiration date is indicated directly on the visa itself.
<p><span data-sheets-root="1">Validity period is up to 1 year counted from the date of issue of the visa. The validity period of the temporary visa does not coincide with the period of the residence permit.</span></p>

Duration of stay
The maximum duration for which one is permitted to stay in the country continuously from the date of entry.
<p><span data-sheets-root="1">Within 90 days of arrival in Brazil, bearers of visas must register with the Brazilian Immigration authorities (Polícia Federal – DPMAF) in the place where the applicant intends to take up residence. Residence authorization (once in Brazil only) is given by the Federal Police Department (DPMAF), accordingly to the purpose of the stay.</span></p>

Consular fee
A fee levied for the processing and evaluation of an application. This charge is non-refundable under any circumstances. In certain instances, the payment of supplementary fees may be required.

Mandatory

Passport
A valid passport with a validity period exceeding 6 months and with at least two blank pages.
Photograph
Must be recent (taken within the last 6 months), in color, clear, and sized 35x45mm. The face should occupy 70-80% of the image, printed on high-quality, matte paper with a plain, light background. Hair must not cover the eyes or eyebrows. Headwear is not permitted unless worn for religious or medical reasons, and the full face must remain visible.

Full Birth certificate
The name of the parents must be indicated. Birth certificates from outside the Consulate's jurisdiction (includes those issued in other countries) must be apostilled.
Police сlearance
Valid, apostilled original police record from a home country. Applicants who have lived in other/multiple countries within the last 12 months must provide a police record from each of those countries. They must also be duly apostilled or legalized by the respective Brazilian consular authority with jurisdiction over these countries, and translated by a sworn translator, if necessary.
Supporting
Documents that specify, substantiate, and confirm the purpose of the visit, as well as provide necessary information about the applicant and their future activities in the country.
Curriculum vitae
A comprehensive document outlining the applicant`s professional, academic, and personal history.
Religious institution support letter
Letter from the institution in home country attesting eligibility of the applicant, stating length of stay, place and type of the religious work to be performed in Brazil.
Education proof
Certificate or diploma of theological or academic religious education and school transcript of theological studies.
Statement of commitment
Letter “Statement of commitment” stating that the missionary will not engage in any activity in Indian areas without the proper authorization issued by FUNAI (National Indian Foundation).
Invitation letter
Invitation letter from the institution in Brazil attesting eligibility of the applicant, stating length of stay, place and type of the religious work to be performed in Brazil.
Charter and/or bylaws
Charter and/or bylaws of the institution in Brazil.
Term of commitment
Affidavit from the institution in Brazil, signed by its legal representative, assuring lodging and financial support for the intended party and members of his/her accompanying family, and assuming full responsibility for the departure of the clergyman and his/her family from Brazil. The signature on the letter/affidavit must be certified by a notary (""tabelião"") in Brazil.

Current immigration or residence status
National passport or ID card; residence permit or other document confirming the right to legally reside in the country of residence, if it differs from the one stated in the applicant's passport.
