Family visit visa — what you need to know
For foreigners in possession of valid visit visa to the UAE, UK, USA, KSA (excluding Hajj & Umrah visa), Schengen or USA Green Card. Intended for close family members of residents (and, in some cases, citizens) of Bahrain. The application is submitted online by the guest while staying outside Bahrain. A sponsor – a resident or citizen of Bahrain – is required to confirm the family relationship, provide proof of income, and take financial responsibility for the guest. The visa can be obtained online or at a consulate. Employment is not permitted under this visa type.

How does this visa work?
An electronic visa for Bahrain can be issued for either single or multiple entries. The decision on the visa type is made based on the submitted application, the purpose of the visit, nationality, as well as other factors such as invitations, travel plans, and compliance with requirements. When applying for an e-Visa, the applicant must specify the purpose of the trip, and the immigration authorities determine the appropriate visa type based on this information
