Available to the spouse, child, or parent of an Argentine citizen. It is also available to the foreign spouse, parent, or child under the age of 18 (or older, if the child has a disability) of a foreign national who holds permanent residence in Argentina. The visa allows family members to reside legally in Argentina and join their relatives for the purposes of family unity.

    Visa validity period

    The period during which the visa remains valid and can be used for entry into the country. The validity period or expiration date is indicated directly on the visa itself.

    Duration of stay

    The maximum duration for which one is permitted to stay in the country continuously from the date of entry.

    Period of stay is up to 3 years or for the duration of the relative’s status.

  • Individually

    Extension of stay

    The extension of the maximum duration of stay in the country initially permitted by the visa, subject to approval by the immigration authorities. This is typically processed within the country without the need for departure.

    In individual cases, an extension is possible if the applicant applies to the DNM before the initial period of stay expires.

    The ability to enter and exit the country an unlimited number of times, unless otherwise specified, within the visa's validity period.

    Number of entries

    A parameter specifying the number of times the visa holder can enter the country during its validity period. Visas can be single-entry, multiple-entry, or with a specified number of entries.

    250 US dollars or euros, depending on the Consular Office where the application is filed. The fee must be paid in the local currency of the Representation. Additionally, the migration fee must be paid.

Mandatory

  • Passport

    Must be valid at least six months from planned arrival date in Argentina.

  • Visa application form

    Filled out (preferably in electronic format) and signed by the applicant

  • Photo

    2 current 4 x 4 cm photographs, facing the camera, printed in colour, on a white background.

Documents that specify, substantiate, and confirm the purpose of the visit, as well as provide necessary information about the applicant and their future activities in the country.

  • Proof of family ties

    Certificate of vital record, depending on the relevant relationship (birth certificate for children and parents / marriage certificate in the case of spouses). If the document was not issued by the Argentine Republic, it must be apostilled or legalized.

  • Documents of a relative

    Certified copy of the National Identity Card (DNI).

    Within the jurisdiction of the Consulate (such as a utility bill or other document that serves as proof).

Additionally, they must be accompanied by a certified translation into the official language of that country or into English, unless otherwise specified by the mission's requirements.
