Extension of stay
The extension of the maximum duration of stay in the country initially permitted by the visa, subject to approval by the immigration authorities. This is typically processed within the country without the need for departure.
<p>Not extendable beyond 6 months under this visitor visa category. For stays of 6 months or longer, a Resident Visa must be obtained before arrival.</p>
single-entry
The possibility of entering the country only once during the visa's validity period. After departure from the country with such a visa, re-entry is not possible, even if the visa's validity period has not yet expired.
Number of entries
A parameter specifying the number of times the visa holder can enter the country during its validity period. Visas can be single-entry, multiple-entry, or with a specified number of entries.

Passport
Must be valid at least six months from planned arrival date in Taiwan.
Arrival card
The migration card is issued on the airplane or filled out online.
Photo
Two colour passport-size photographs with white background, taken within the last six months. Size: 2 inches (5×5 cm).
Visa application form
Completed online, printed and signed by the applicant. The printed form must display a barcode.
Documents that specify, substantiate, and confirm the purpose of the visit, as well as provide necessary information about the applicant and their future activities in the country.
Proof of accommodation
Confirmed hotel booking, rental contract, proof of residential property ownership, or a letter of invitation from a private host covering the full duration of the stay.
Certificate of highest education level
Degree certificate(s) or diploma(s) confirming the applicant's highest level of education. Must be authenticated by an ROC overseas mission.
Proof of employment history
Work certificates, employment letters, or equivalent documents from previous employers covering the applicant's professional background.
Proof of average monthly salary / remuneration
Bank statements or payslips from the last 6 months showing average monthly income (if applicable). Required to demonstrate qualifications meeting Taiwan's work permit salary thresholds.
Bank statement
Recent bank statement (last 3 months) demonstrating sufficient funds to support the applicant for the full 6-month job-seeking stay.
Job-seeking plan
Written description of the applicant's job-seeking strategy, target industries/roles in Taiwan, and expected timeline. Demonstrates genuine intention to seek employment.
Documents required vary depending on individual circumstances, specific visa conditions, the place, and the method of application.
Travel medical insurance
To cover any unforeseen medical treatment might need in Taiwan.
Documents for minor children
Birth certificate, adoption certificate, or guardianship certificate evidencing parental or guardianship rights. Certified power of attorney or written permission from parents or legal guardians for minors travelling abroad.
Criminal record certificate
Certificate of no criminal record from the applicant's country of citizenship (or country of residence if different). Must be issued within 6 months and authenticated by an ROC overseas mission.
*Foreign official documents must be apostilled and legalized in accordance with the regulations of the country whose consular or diplomatic mission they are being submitted to. Additionally, they must be accompanied by a certified translation into the official language of that country or into English, unless otherwise specified by the mission's requirements.
**Prior to submitting the documents, it is strongly advised to verify the specific procedures and requirements with the relevant mission.
