Although the visa is only valid for 90 days, it grants permission to stay in Spain for more than 180 days. However, to take advantage of this, the applicant must apply for a Foreigner’s Identity Card within 30 days of entering Spain, either at the Foreigners’ Registration Office or at the police station in the province where the permit was issued.
