Description of the visa, its purpose, conditions, peculiarities of issuance, and guidelines for utilization.
Allows foreign nationals from visa-required countries to enter Malaysia to carry out a survey regarding investment opportunities or setting up a factory. Upon entry, immigration officials issue a Short-Term Social Visit Pass, which specifies the length of the applicant’s stay.

Validity period
The period during which the visa remains valid and can be used for entry into the country. The validity period or expiration date is indicated directly on the visa itself.
The decision on the issuance and validity of a visa is made by the Malaysian consulate or embassy and is not directly dependent on the applicant. The validity period of a single entry Malaysian visa is the period of time within which it is necessary to enter the country. As a rule, this visa is issued for a period of up to 3 months, which is calculated from the date of issuance of the visa. Within three days before entering Malaysia, all foreign nationals, except permanent residents and certain other categories of persons, are required to complete a Digital Arrival Card (MDAC). Once the MDAC is filled out, a confirmation email is sent to the applicant, which they need to show to the officer at passport control.

Length of stay
The maximum duration for which one is permitted to stay in the country continuously from the date of entry.
At the time of entry, the immigration officer places a stamp in the passport of foreign nationals, which confirms the stay permit (social visit pass). It is this stamp that will determine the period of authorized period of stay in the country. The length of stay on this visa will depend on nationality, personal circumstances and the decision of the immigration officer. Immigration authorities have the authority to adjust the authorized period of stay if the officer finds that the applicant has insufficient means of living or there is no clear purpose for the stay. Under Malaysian law, the maximum authorized period of stay for this type of visa is 14 days.

Extension of stay
The extension of the maximum duration of stay in the country initially permitted by the visa, subject to approval by the immigration authorities. This is typically processed within the country without the need for departure.
An extension is only possible in exceptional cases if serious circumstances have arisen that make it impossible to leave the country before the expiry of the authorized period of stay.

The possibility of entering the country only once during the visa's validity period. After departure from the country with such a visa, re-entry is not possible, even if the visa's validity period has not yet expired.
Number of entries
A parameter specifying the number of times the visa holder can enter the country during its validity period. Visas can be single-entry, multiple-entry, or with a specified number of entries.

Processing time

The standard processing time, if there are no problems with the content of the application, is from 3 to 7 working days. However, this period may be extended in individual cases, especially when additional documents are required from the applicant.

Hotel booking, declaration of hospitality, declaration whereby accommodation costs shall be borne by the person inviting.
Travel insurance
Travel insurance that covers the entire trip to Malaysia.
Receipt of fee payment
Confirmation of the visa application processing fee.
*Foreign official documents must be apostilled and legalized in accordance with the regulations of the country whose consular or diplomatic mission they are being submitted to. Additionally, they must be accompanied by a certified translation into the official language of that country or into English, unless otherwise specified by the mission's requirements.
