Single-entry visa

The period during which the visa remains valid and can be used for entry into the country. The validity period or expiration date is indicated directly on the visa itself.
The visa is issued for a period of up to 90 days.

Length of stay
The maximum duration for which one is permitted to stay in the country continuously from the date of entry.
The maximum permitted stay is up to 30 days.

Extension of stay
The extension of the maximum duration of stay in the country initially permitted by the visa, subject to approval by the immigration authorities. This is typically processed within the country without the need for departure.
The visa may be extended upon a request from the inviting party that previously issued the invitation for the initial visa, specifying the purpose of stay in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The extension may be granted for a period of up to 30 days.
single-entry
The possibility of entering the country only once during the visa's validity period. After departure from the country with such a visa, re-entry is not possible, even if the visa's validity period has not yet expired.
Number of entries
A parameter specifying the number of times the visa holder can enter the country during its validity period. Visas can be single-entry, multiple-entry, or with a specified number of entries.
The applicant specifies the required number of entries on the visa application.

The period during which the immigration authorities review the application and make a decision regarding the issuance of the visa. Only business days are counted, excluding weekends and public holidays.

Visa fees are waived for the following categories of persons: - Members of foreign official delegations and accompanying persons traveling to the Republic of Kazakhstan; - Foreigners traveling to the Republic of Kazakhstan to participate in events of national and international importance (symposia, conferences and other political, cultural, scientific and sport events); - Foreigners traveling to the Republic of Kazakhstan at the invitation of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Constitutional Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Office of the President, Chancellery of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan; - Foreigners traveling to the Republic of Kazakhstan with humanitarian assistance agreed with the interested state bodies of the Republic of Kazakhstan; - Employees of international organizations traveling to the Republic of Kazakhstan on official business; - Foreigners traveling to the Republic of Kazakhstan at the invitation of foreign diplomatic missions and consular offices, as well as international organizations accredited in the Republic of Kazakhstan, on the basis of the principle of reciprocity; - Foreigners - holders of diplomatic and service passports, traveling to the Republic of Kazakhstan on official business; - Children under 16 on the basis of reciprocity; - Persons of Kazakh nationality who are not citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan; - Former citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan permanently residing abroad and traveling to the Republic of Kazakhstan for the funeral of close relatives. In addition, visa fees are exempted in the case of issuing investor, service, or diplomatic visas, as well as for the reissuance of a visa to replace an original visa containing errors made by the official staff of the service provider. Consular fee is the official charge for processing a visa application by an embassy or consulate of the country and does not include any additional payments that may be required depending on the place and method of submission, such as visa center fees, the cost of permits or other documents, postal or courier delivery, and others.

The essential minimum documents required for a visa application, such as a passport or visa application form. These are necessary regardless of the location, method, or conditions of the application.
Passport
Issued less than 10 years ago, with a validity period exceeding the duration of the visa by at least 3 months and with at least 2 blank pages. The passport must be free from any elements that could raise doubts as to its authenticity or ownership. It must not contain reservations, unauthorized notes, erasures, corrections, torn-out or detached pages. The passport must not bear any marks indicating an extension of its validity period.
Photograph
Must be recent (taken within the last 6 months), in colour (or black and white), clear, and sized 35 x 45 mm. The face should occupy 70-80% of the image, printed on high-quality, matte paper with a plain, light background. Hair must not cover the eyes or eyebrows. Headwear is not permitted unless worn for religious or medical reasons, and the full face must remain visible.

Invitation
An official invitation issued by the Kazakhstan authorities, formally processed and endorsed by the relevant divisions of the Migration Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan in accordance with the established procedures.
Petition
A written request submitted by participants or bodies of the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC).
Documents required vary depending on individual circumstances, specific visa conditions, the place, and the method of application.
Proof of financial means
Recent bank statement for the last three months or any other proof of income. This document must demonstrate sufficient funds to support oneself for the entire stay and for return expenses. In cases of sponsorship by a host, an invitation letter with financial commitments and proof of the sponsor's income must also be provided.
Travel health insurance
Valid for the full duration of stay in Kazakhstan, covering at least €30,000, and include emergency medical care, hospitalization, and repatriation, including in case of death.
Current immigration or residence status
National passport or ID card; residence permit or other document confirming the right to legally reside in the country of residence, if it differs from the one stated in the applicant's passport.
Receipt of fee payment
Confirmation of the visa application processing fee.
*Foreign official documents must be apostilled and legalized in accordance with the regulations of the country whose consular or diplomatic mission they are being submitted to. Additionally, they must be accompanied by a certified translation into the official language of that country or into English, unless otherwise specified by the mission's requirements.
