Visa overview
Description of the visa, its purpose, conditions, peculiarities of issuance, and guidelines for utilization.
Allows travel to Egypt for conferences, seminars, business missions, business training courses and other related activities. Is issued by Egyptian embassy or consulate to travellers who cannot apply for an Egypt e-visa (business events). Travellers must provide business invitation letter, agreements, cover letter or other related documents.

Validity period
The period during which the visa remains valid and can be used for entry into the country. The validity period or expiration date is indicated directly on the visa itself.
The validity period of a single–entry visa is 90 days, and a multiple-entry visa is 180 days; Upon arrival, the traveler may apply for a residence permit in accordance with the purpose of their stay.

Length of stay
The maximum duration for which one is permitted to stay in the country continuously from the date of entry.
The maximum period of stay for one entry is 30 days. Multiple entry visa allows a collective stay of 90 days in Egypt. A residence permit is issued for a period of 1 to 5 years. After 10 years of continuous residence in Egypt, expats have the right to apply for citizenship.

Extension of stay
The extension of the maximum duration of stay in the country initially permitted by the visa, subject to approval by the immigration authorities. This is typically processed within the country without the need for departure.
May be extended by 30-60 days or for another period at the discretion of the migration service. Applications are submitted personally to the Jawazat at the place of residence. The residence permit can also be extended.
single-entry
The possibility of entering the country only once during the visa's validity period. After departure from the country with such a visa, re-entry is not possible, even if the visa's validity period has not yet expired.
multiple-entry
The ability to enter and exit the country an unlimited number of times, unless otherwise specified, within the visa's validity period.
Number of entries
A parameter specifying the number of times the visa holder can enter the country during its validity period. Visas can be single-entry, multiple-entry, or with a specified number of entries.

Processing time
The period during which the immigration authorities review the application and make a decision regarding the issuance of the visa. Only business days are counted, excluding weekends and public holidays.
The Egypt consulate or embassy's visa processing time is 1-4 weeks, depending on the nationality and country of application. Holders of travel documents from specific countries (the exact list of countries can be specified at the embassy) must obtain clearance from the competent authorities in Egypt, which takes 2-3 months to process.

Consular fee
A fee levied for the processing and evaluation of an application. This charge is non-refundable under any circumstances. In certain instances, the payment of supplementary fees may be required.
Fees may vary on the nationality and country of application. 5 years entry visa is not available for Sudanese passport holders and for applicants requiring pre-approval. Applicants of Egyptian origin or married to Egyptian nationals, may obtain a multiple visa free of charge, upon providing official proof such as an Egyptian ID, if the applicant is originally Egyptian or the spouse ‘s Egyptian ID and the marriage certificate if the applicant’s spouse is Egyptian. The consular fee is the official charge for processing an application by an embassy or consulate and does not include additional payments, such as fees for visa centers, permits or other documents, or postal or courier delivery.

The essential minimum documents required for a visa application, such as a passport or visa application form. These are necessary regardless of the location, method, or conditions of the application.
Photograph
Must be recent (taken within the last 6 months), in color, clear, and sized 35x45mm. The face should occupy 70-80% of the image, printed on high-quality, matte paper with a plain, light background. Hair must not cover the eyes or eyebrows. Headwear is not permitted unless worn for religious or medical reasons, and the full face must remain visible.

Passport
A passport valid for at least 6 months on arrival with at least 1 empty page.
Visa application form
Fully completed and signed visa application form with one photo stapled to the form. One copy of the completed application form with a photo.
Proof of accommodation
Copy of the accommodation reservation in Egypt (Hotel reservation). If the visa applicant residing with a family member, they have to state the following on the visa application: name of the family member, relationship, contact, number, address.
Flight ticket
Copy of a round-trip ticket. When applying for a multiple-entry visa, must be attached copies of tickets for subsequent trips.
Documents that specify, substantiate, and confirm the purpose of the visit, as well as provide necessary information about the applicant and their future activities in the country.
Supporting letter
2 copies of the letter from the company in the applicant's country of residence indicating the detailed purpose of the trip and a financial guarantee.
Invitation letter
2 copies of the letter/invitation from the company/organization in Egypt.
Documents required vary depending on individual circumstances, specific visa conditions, the place, and the method of application.
Current immigration or residence status
National passport or ID card; residence permit or other document confirming the right to legally reside in the country of residence, if it differs from the one stated in the applicant's passport.
For employees
Certificate from the place of work - (original) on the company's letterhead, indicating the position and salary, stamped and signed by the head. The validity period is 1 month from the date of issue. If visa applicants who work in the same company as managers are spouses, the certificate from the place of work must be signed additionally by a third person authorized to sign.
*Foreign official documents must be apostilled and legalized in accordance with the regulations of the country whose consular or diplomatic mission they are being submitted to. Additionally, they must be accompanied by a certified translation into the official language of that country or into English, unless otherwise specified by the mission's requirements.
