Issued to individuals enrolled in a recognized educational program in a Greenlandic publicly accredited institution. The applicant must be able to understand the language of instruction. The permit is typically valid for 1 year, renewable in case of continuing education. Visa-exempt nationals are allowed to enter Greenland with their passport and residence permit approval letter. If a national (entry) visa is required, it is arranged in advance, along with the residence permit. It requires individuals to obtain a residence card upon arrival.
