Visa validity period

A long-term visa for seasonal employment is issued for a maximum of 9 months. A long-term visa is granted for activities exceeding 90 days that require the applicant's continuous presence in the Czech Republic.

The maximum duration for which one is permitted to stay in the country continuously from the date of entry.
The stay period for a specific long-term visa is determined by the consulate, depending on the individual situation of the applicant and documentary evidence of the purpose of the visit. Long-term visas are granted to third-country nationals intending to stay in the Czech Republic for more than three months for various purposes. These visas are issued for a maximum period of 9 months.

Extension of stay
The extension of the maximum duration of stay in the country initially permitted by the visa, subject to approval by the immigration authorities. This is typically processed within the country without the need for departure.
A long-term visa for seasonal employment, including extensions, can be valid for a maximum total duration of 9 months. If the visa is granted for a period shorter than 9 months, it may be extended, but only up to the maximum total duration of 9 months. If the applicant intends to stay in the Czech Republic for more than 9 months, they must submit a new residence permit application at a diplomatic mission. The application is submitted at a Ministry of the Interior office, sent by post, Data Box or by e-mail with a recognised electronic signature, or can be submitted through an authorised representative.

Passport
Issued less than 10 years ago, with a validity period exceeding the duration of the visa by at least three months and with at least two blank pages.
Photograph
Taken in the last 6 months, the photograph must be 45×35 mm, rectangular with straight or rounded corners, and thickness between 0.13–0.27 mm. It must show the applicant’s head and upper shoulders in full-face view, with at least 2 mm of space above the head. The face height (eyes to chin) must be at least 13 mm. The applicant must face the camera directly, with a neutral expression, closed lips, and uncovered open eyes. Retouching or alterations are not permitted, and the image must be free of reflections obscuring facial features. Photographs may be in black-and-white or colour.

In some cases, citizens or residents of some countries may be required to provide health certificates confirming that they have no easily transmitted diseases such as tuberculosis or other serious diseases that pose a risk and danger to large numbers of people.
Criminal record extract
Confirming no criminal record in the applicant’s home or residence country.
Proof of financial means
The original or certified copy of the employer's confirmation of the applicant's wage if the accommodation is provided by the employer.

Additionally, they must be accompanied by a certified translation into the official language of that country or into English, unless otherwise specified by the mission's requirements.
