Visa overview
Description of the visa, its purpose, conditions, peculiarities of issuance, and guidelines for utilization.
Issued for those who wish to work in a Malaysian company or organization in a professional and high-skilled position. Before an applicant can apply for this visa, the employer must get visa approval letter from Malaysian Immigration Department, which allows applying for a visa (known as visa with reference). This visa can be obtained either at a Malaysian consulate or through an online application system. The online visa works like a regular visa, but it is processed quicker and the foreigner can apply from their home. If approved, they will receive the visa in about two-three days electronically, and they will have to print it. All travelers need to complete and submit MDAC within 3 days before arrival.
Validity period
The period during which the visa remains valid and can be used for entry into the country. The validity period or expiration date is indicated directly on the visa itself.
3 months
Consular fee
A fee levied for the processing and evaluation of an application. This charge is non-refundable under any circumstances. In certain instances, the payment of supplementary fees may be required.
